Frio Frio & Cafe
Fruit based shaved ice with small bites to share
- ABOUT US -

Frio Frio & Cafe…it all started back in 2021 when the founder Louis Jakarr Williams (Lou) lost both his parents to unfortunate circumstances leaving his family & friends beyond hurt but lost within too many transitions to deal with. Having always being required to transition Louis began developing his dream cafe with his family & friends in mind knowing this would be the peace in all the loss.
Frio Frio & Cafe starts with Louis being born in upstate New York and spending his summers and holidays with family in the city of New York eating shaved ice. “I appreciate the older men pushing carts with the mango and coconut flavors over shaved ice in the little cups”. They made every summer worth having colorful tongues. At the time of coming up with the concept of a fruit only shaved ice, Louis moved to Austin Texas to learn more about food trucks and how to properly start a cafe. Trying so many different fruits it felt only right to share the enjoyments of his childhood with everyone.
Louis’s mother loved to cook and bake just about anything. When Louis went to college, she started a baking company called Delights by Edna. selling cakes, cookies and pies in pink boxes. Louis wanted to incorporate the love from her passion for all things baked with his sibling's quirky styles. With naturally having lived a healthy lifestyle Louis wanted Frio Frio & Cafe to be all fruit based for the shaved ice since he enjoyed the flavors as a child. The menu would mostly be items his siblings thought would be cool to eat, so we took those classic items and gave them a twist. Not to forget about his dog (Cass) the dog menu will share all the sweet treats pups can enjoy when out with their owners.
One day the final goal would be to help end world hunger by make all cups sold biodegradable with the seeds from each fruit within the layers of each cup. Once a cup is disposed of or dropped from improper use, the layers would start to break down beginning the process to potentially start growing fruit. It's not a guaranteed thing but with more cups being produced instead of plastic or aluminum. It opens the door for less waste and more natural growth with an opportunity to feed the public at no cost.
